Cockroaches are high-risk pests in the house.

They carry a variety of serious diseases such as salmonella, dysentery, gastroenteritis and fever tyhoid. Cockroach droppings can also cause eczema and asthma.

3. American cockroach 20-30mm in length. Also known as Palmetto bugs. American cockroaches are reddish brown and pale yellow area around their promotum. Found in a dark place with high humidity

All three of these species tend to be found in large quantities or where food is stored in the kitchen.

Signs of Problems With Cockroaches :

1. Seeing cockroaches live – cockroaches are nocturnal animals (active at night) and hide all day. You will see cockroaches when you turn the kitchen light at night.
2. Pieces of the eggs and pieces of leather – As an adult, cockroach sheds its skin about 5-8 times.
3. Dirt – cockroaches leave black droppings less than 1mm width and different lengths.
4. Smell – the presence of cockroaches produce a very unpleasant odor.
5. Damage – Cockroaches will undermine organic goods including leather and books.

How to rid Cockroaches

Closing the entrance will help to keep the cockroaches come into the house, the main risks are gaps under doors and around pipes associated with the outside area or neighboring property

Also close the gaps where cockroaches can rest – cockroaches are nocturnal animals (active at night) and hide during the day. Cockroaches usually hide in cracks along the window, wall or outlet.

The most effective way to control cockroaches is to keep them away from water and food:

1. Store food in food or cover with plastic bags.
2. Clean up spilled food and drink immediately.
3. Clean food utensils immediately.
4. No food animals, no pet drinking place to stay overnight
5. Do not allow stagnant water in washing dishes or buckets overnight

Electromagnetic or ultrasonic repellents are usually not able to repel cockroaches.
